Braintree, Essex has been undergoing a regeneration project with aim of transforming the old agricultural and textile town into a modern living space for the community. For this reason, one of the main purpose of the project was to conceive human-centric lighting solutions for the area.

Our partner Kingfisher Lighting chose MIKO bollard to illuminate the Town Hall Plaza that has a classical architectural design that reflects Braintree’s history and that was developed with a soft tones paving that together with wooden benches, trees and shrubs make the space feel open and calm. Also plants are textured and scented to stimulate the senses, as well as a soft warm illumination.

MIKO bollard has a slimline design that enhances and adds a touch of elegance this modern application in a classical British architectural context. 8 MIKO bollards with a radial illumination ensuring a diffused distribution without glare or light pollution, were placed in Braintree’s Town Hall Plaza, allowing greater visual clarity for visitors.

Available in different heights, color temperatures, with no-glare one way or radial optic, MIKO bollard harmoniously illuminates residential and urban environments, such as pathways and pedestrian areas in gardens and parks. MIKO bollard is part of a range that includes wall-mounted and post-top luminaires.
