The Regenstrief Institute is a 25-years old internationally recognized healthcare research foundation located in the Indiana University School of Medicine campus. Dedicated to the study and improvement of health, the institute offers outstanding education and training opportunities to thousands of students and is attended by numerous experts and authorities.
Thanks to the partnership with Specified Lighting Systems, Arcluce entered the campus with its products on the occasion of the decoration and improvement project carried out by White Design Studio from Cincinnati. The artistic sculpture that stands out in the courtyard is illuminated by twelve INGROUND260 installations. The artwork, inspired by the theme "Better pathways to Health" which is the tagline of the entire facility, aims to celebrate the two founders of the Institute, Sam and Myrtie Regenstrief: they are symbolized by the two wooden humanoid figures supporting stainless steel canopy of pathways – which is the three-dimensional representation of the mission that led to the foundation of the Regenstrief Institute: creating new research paths for health.
INGROUND260, with 260mm diameter stainless steel frame and LED technology, is the walkable and drive-over recessed ground luminaire. Thanks to a wide range of beams, it is able to create accent lighting, enhancing the elegance of architectural details.
